Hello
I am looking for the name of a movie that was made probably within the last 10 years. It depicts an Australian or New Zealand soldier during WWII, who becomes held up in a bunker somewhere in the Pacific. The allied soldier is involved in a small battle with a veteran Japanese soldier Early in the movie the Japanese forces had ordered all men to fight to the death. The veteran Japanese soldier who defected with his younger Japanese meets up with the small company of Allied soldiers. They either kill all but one of the allied soldiers or this one allied soldier somehow gets lost. (I can't remember all of the specifics).
In the end the two soldiers had battled it out for several days in this old Japanese anti aircraft gun bunkers when it is announced that the allies have won the war and the Japanese soldier surrenders. The end of the movie depicts 50+ years later there is a reunion of the soldiers who fought on those islands and they meet. The allied soldier had somehow came into some Japanese photos and posted them. The veteran Japanese soldier was glad to meet him again in the end and talks about the family that he had been able to have after the war.
If this plot rings a bell please let me know.
Thank you

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <whitten@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.despammed.com> would become <chris-(@)-interesting.com>.
