My Father was in the 163rd as well. They also built bridges over the Danube (?) I believe they worked with the 82nd airborne. If you tell me more of what you are looking for I will be glad to ask him. If I may ask, please don't answer if you are uncomfortable, Who your father was, I think my dad would get a kick knowing I was talking to the son of a fellow comrade.

: MY FATHER WAS A WW2 VET. AND HE WAS WITH THE 163rd COMBAT ENGINEERS.I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET SOME INFORMATION ON HIS UNIT,BUT IM HAVING TROUBLE.DETAILS ARE LIMITED.HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN TIED TO THE FIRST ARMY AND IN STORIES HE TOLD ME THAT THEIR UNIT BUILT ONE OF THE FIRST BRIDGES AND LONGEST OVER THE RHINE.IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO. PLEASE E-MAIL THANK YOU
