MY FATHER WAS A WW2 VET. AND HE WAS WITH THE 163rd COMBAT ENGINEERS.I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET SOME INFORMATION ON HIS UNIT,BUT IM HAVING TROUBLE.DETAILS ARE LIMITED.HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN TIED TO THE FIRST ARMY AND IN STORIES HE TOLD ME THAT THEIR UNIT BUILT ONE OF THE FIRST BRIDGES AND LONGEST OVER THE RHINE.IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO.
