World War II Forum: US Army, Company A 324thCombat Engineer Battalion, 99th Infantry Division

I am the proud grand-daughter of two World War II veterns. Simon B. Rock served the US Army, Company A 324th Combat Engineer Battalion, 99th Infantry Division. He was in Belgium, Germany, and France. He was in Germany during the Battle of the Bulge. My grandfather got to hold me once before he died in 1977. I regret it very much that I didn't get to know him like I should have been able to.
My Grandpa Robert Baughman, and my Great Uncle Merion Baughman also served in World War II. My uncle was also at the Battle of the Buldge, but like my grandfather Rock, they both died before I even knew them. I also don't have any real information about their time in service as my grandmother and most of the side of the family has either passed on, or were too young to remember much. If anyone served with the Baughman's or Simon Rock, I would be proud to talk to you about them. I do know that my grandpa Rock had a pal who was looking for him in 1991, William F. Kyser from Kentucky.

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <whitten@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.despammed.com> would become <chris-(@)-interesting.com>.
