: :My father was in Argus Unit 1 (Shore Based Portable Fighter Director Radar Unit)on Woodlark Island, June 23/1943. He received his radar training at Port Hueneme, Ca. and was sent overseas to New Caledonia, Townsville Australia, then finally to Woodlark. I have an official copy of the History of Argus Units which I received from the Command Historian's Office at Port Hueneme. It is dated April 1, 1944 and covers the history to that date. I will share it with anyone who requests it. I, and my father would also like to hear from any other Argus members, you are such a small fraternity. Thank, you.........todd cabral : With unit 17 at Guam until Sep 44, unit decommissioned at Pearl October 1944; assigned to the USS Rowell DE403 as RDM2/C, left Pearl Harbor Dec 44. The Rowell is having a reunion this coming 1 October 2002 at Tucson, Arizona. Would like any information anyone may have aboit the history of ARGUS Unit 17.

Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <> would become <chris-(@)>.
